The UAE visa new Policy is a source of major problems for worldwide travellers who seek a Dubai Visa, either for a Trip, business, or any other reason. The rejection rate has spiked to 5-6% after the New Dubai Visa Rules 2026, prior to which only 1-2% of visas were rejected. This is due to the change made to the documents that are required in order to apply for a Dubai Visa. Unlike earlier this year, new visa applications will now require additional documentation - hotel reservations and return flight tickets are to be submitted along with the application, as these have been made mandatory after the implementation of the Updated Tourist Visa Policy 2026. Let us understand all the changes that have been introduced with the Dubai visa Updated Rules.
Before the UAE visa new Policy was implemented, travellers who were seeking a visa were only required to submit a few documents (A valid passport and a passport-size picture ) in order to apply and obtain a Dubai Visa without any inconvenience.

According to the latest updates on document requirements for the Dubai visa that have been published by the Immigration, ICP and GDRF portals, travellers who are applying for a Dubai Visa will need to submit two additional documents along with the application.
After the update to Dubai Visa application rules, the rate of visa rejections has seen a surge in cases. This is because the visa applications that are being submitted are following the old Visa Rules. Earlier this year, the rejection rate was just about 1-2%; however, after the November 2024 update, the rate of rejections has increased and reached a hike of 5-6% that is a drastic increase. While the update guarantees streamlined visa applications and processing, visitors have experienced inconveniences, as many visa applications have been cancelled, and this has somewhat made Dubai trips kind of difficult for those with a rejected visa.
